Cardiac Rehabilitation Clinic

Do you have a history of heart attacks, heart surgery, or heart disease? Our medically supervised exercise and heart healthy living program will help improve your health and well-being. Alberta Heartland's Cardiac Rehab program brings these services closer to home so that more people who have experienced a cardiac event can regain their strength and endurance and improve their quality of life.

In 2008, approximately 5,500 people in the Alberta Heartland area were diagnosed with cardiovascular disease, for example, heart attacks, heart failure, high blood pressure and stroke. Only about 3% of those attended the CR programs available in Edmonton. Alberta Heartland's CR program brings the services closer to home so that more people can regain their strength and endurance and improve their quality of life

This 12-week program includes 6 education classes focused on diet, exercise and lifestyle, as well as, an individualized exercise program based on the results of your 6-Minute Walk test.

Interested in this program? Referral from an Alberta Heartland PCN family doctor required. Talk to your family doctor or click here to see if your family doctor is a member.
