Diabetes Management

Whether you are newly diagnosed or have been living with diabetes for years, our team is here to help you manage your diabetes effectively. Management of diet, exercise, and medications helps you to control your diabetes, maintain your health and overall well-being.

Back 2 Basics

We can help you on your journey to healthy living by going back to the basics. Learn to choose healthy eating, become more active, and set yourself up for success.

What Moves You?

Learn about the benefits of active living and exercise as part of a healthy lifestyle. We will address barriers and de-bunk some common misconceptions about exercise. We will help you discover opportunities in your day to move more and sit less!
Please note: This workshop is included in Back 2 Basics. Requirement for an appointment with the Exercise Specialist and Supervised Exercise Program.

Eating in the NOW

Eating in the NOW is a unique program designed to free yourself from dieting and heal your relationship with food and your body. You will learn how to distinguish between emotional and physical hunger cues, gain a sense of body wisdom, and make peace with food while developing a compassionate relationship with yourself.

Happiness Basics

Happiness is a state of mind that must be chosen and reinforced with action on a daily basis.
Happiness Basics will help you build the skills you need to increase the amount of positive experiences, engagement, meaning and opportunities for achievement you have in your life. Taking part in this workshop, has been shown to improve mood, vitality and energy, as well as physical and
mental health.

Managing Stress & Anxiety

Managing stress and anxiety can sometimes feel like a continual balancing act. This small group
workshop will provide strategies and techniques to help effectively reduce and manage the stress
and anxiety in your life.

Nordic Pole Walking

Nordic walking is a total body version of walking that is performed with specially designed walking
poles similar to ski poles. Learn about the benefits of using poles and how to use them. We will have
sets of poles for people to try out.

Diabetes Management: Caring For Your Feet

Foot problems are very common for people with diabetes and can lead to serious complications. Fortunately, many of these problems are preventable. We will discuss why it is important to take care of your feet, how to clean and care for your feet, how to protect your feet and what to do if you discover a foot problem.

The Hold Me Tight Program: A Relationship Education Group for Couples

Learn the essential conversations for a successful relationship which will include private exercises with your partner and watching video demonstrations. These tools will help you to understand and improve your relationship with your partner. This weekend session was developed by Dr. Sue Johnson who wrote the book “Hold Me Tight: Seven Conversations for a Lifetime of Love”.

Connect Parent Group: An Attachment-Based Program to Support Parents & Caregivers

Do you ever feel that your pre-teen doesn’t listen to you? Do you sometimes even feel pushed away? Do parents matter? Actually, there is very good evidence that strong relationships with parents protect youth from risk during adolescence and help them thrive! We call that ATTACHMENT! Child care is provided.

Join us for a relaxing discussion about osteoporosis including fracture risk evaluation, interpretation of bone density reports, nutrition, exercise, and treatment options. It’s time to think about the health of your bones and to take steps to build a healthy framework.

Canning Basics

This fun, hands-on workshop will provide you the opportunity to learn about water bath canning. Every year, we grow vegetables at the local community garden and this year, we’ve decided we want to can those vegetables with you that you get to take home.

Can I bring a support person or friend?
Yes, of course you can! We would just appreciate it if you let us know when you register.

I’m interested in a workshop but the dates/times don’t work for my schedule. What do I do?
Depending on the topic, we may be able to arrange an individual appointment with one of our healthcare professionals. All you have to do is call our office to learn more.
Do you provide childcare?
We are unable to provide childcare for our workshops unless specified in the description.
